Born and raised in northern Iowa, Mike's love of photography started when he was 8 years old with his father's Nikon S4 Rangefinder camera. Over the years, his passion for the outdoors and high alpine exploring taught him to patiently wait for the right natural light and thoughtful composition. 

Mike's work focuses on nature, journalism and advertising. 

Mike lives in Colton, Nebraska with his family, flock of ten chickens, three cats, multiple dogs and his motorcycle.
